Most home espresso machines, including popular Breville models, have a hidden flaw: water disperses unevenly through the shower screen. The result? Coffee on one side of your portafilter over-extracts, the other side under-extracts, and only a small portion in the middle pulls correctly. That inconsistency is what's standing between you and a truly great shot.

The Puck Screen fixes this. Placed on top of your coffee grounds before pulling a shot, it distributes water evenly across the entire puck — bringing those over- and under-extracted zones closer together for a more even, balanced extraction.
